Tennis Conditioning Workouts

Review the exercise sequence before selecting a tennis conditioning session. These videos show example workouts, not a single programme for every player. Use the book’s assessment results, exercise instructions and progression criteria to select movements and loading.

Establish the receiving position, overhead range and controlled return for each lift before adding load or combining the exercises.

Circuit Training For Advanced Athletes

Six exercises: Deadlift To Upright Row, Push Press, Bilateral Squat To Forward Press, Physio Ball Trunk Rotations, Push-Up To Contralateral Limb Raise, and Russian Twist. Check each movement separately before combining them into a circuit.

The on-screen loads and repetitions are legacy session examples. Percentage-of-1RM labels on bodyweight movements do not define a usable load without a specified testing method. Set the workload from the exercise protocol and the athlete’s established capacity.

Plyometrics Workout

Six demonstrations filmed at submaximum speed: Lateral Box Jump Rebounds, Single-Leg Medium-Level Tuck Jump Rebounds, Single-Leg Lateral Rebound Press, Medicine Ball Trunk Twist Throw, Diagonal Lunge Plate Blocks, and Diagonal Lunge Overhead Medicine Ball Throw. The controlled demonstration pace shows the movement sequence; it is not a prescribed performance speed.

Choose the jump height, landing demand and implement load separately. End a set when landing control or the intended movement quality deteriorates; do not copy the video’s workload solely because the athlete can complete the route.
