About

Tennis Conditioning TV brings together exercise demonstrations, training education and practical resources developed around the physical demands of tennis.

Coaching Approach

Exercise selection and training progressions should reflect the athlete’s abilities, training phase and on-court demands. The aim is to develop physical qualities that support tennis performance through clear technique instruction and sound training organization.

Coaching Experience

Philipp Halfmann worked with Alexander Ritschard on tennis development and strength and conditioning during his junior years. Ritschard reached a career-high junior world ranking of No. 65 in March 2012, within that coaching period. The ranking and month are documented in the ITF’s official Wimbledon match notes (printed page 6). Read The Coaching Case Study.

About The Author

Philipp Halfmann, M.S., is the author of Advanced Concepts of Strength & Conditioning for Tennis. He studied Exercise & Sports Science at Florida International University and has worked in tennis coaching and athletic conditioning.

The companion library preserves the book’s exercise references and distinguishes stance, equipment, support, foot contacts and gaze. Use those conditions to identify a progression rather than assuming that a similar-looking movement is the same task.
