Setup And Execution

Side-Step to Diagonal Single-Leg RDL — 7.02: start with the feet close together. Side-step left, then step diagonally onto the right leg. Hinge through the support hip as the trunk inclines and the free leg reaches behind. Keep the support foot planted and the knee controlled. Recover to the ready position, side-step right and repeat on the left leg. Shorten the hinge or reach when the athlete cannot recover without an extra support step.

Adjust The Difficulty

Shorten the hinge or reach when the athlete cannot recover without an extra support step.

Preparation

Forward/Reverse Lunge and Single-Leg RDL.

Common Coaching Errors

Rushing the lateral-to-diagonal transition; losing foot support; failing to complete the return before changing sides.
