Standing Medicine Ball Trunk Rotations For Tennis | Exercise 5.07

Book exercise 5.07 from Advanced Concepts of Strength & Conditioning for Tennis.

Demonstration

Standing two-foot medicine-ball trunk rotation: retain the support position and control the ball with the arms extended at chest height (5.07).

5.07 MB Trunk Rotations

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly flexed. Hold the ball with both hands in front of the chest, raise the arms to chest level and keep the elbows nearly straight with a slight bend. Rotate the upper body left and right while controlling the speed. Keep the support position repeatable and observe how the pelvis participates; the source does not define a locked-pelvis angle target.
