Loaded Forward And Backward Box Jump Rebounds For Tennis | 7.88–7.91

Book family 7.88–7.91 from Advanced Concepts of Strength & Conditioning for Tennis.

Video References And Limits

The clip has ankle weights and two rings, but its route runs laterally across the box. References 7.88–7.91 run forward and backward. Use the footage for same-leg contact details and the photographs for the bilateral forward-and-back setup. Neither this clip nor its lateral route demonstrates the prescribed complete family sequence.

Modified Lateral Single-Leg Contact Reference

Setup And Execution

Place one box between two pairs of rings, one pair on each side. Start in the front pair and jump onto the box with both feet. Immediately jump off into the opposite pair, rebound backward onto the box and then jump off into the original pair. Keep the box and floor contacts on the same forward–backward line; this is a round trip over one box.

Version I looks down during the specified box departure and backward jump; II uses forward gaze. Versions III–IV use only two rings, one on each side, and the same working leg through every box and floor contact. Complete the route before switching legs. III uses downward gaze and IV forward gaze during the specified departure and backward jump. The original low-box setup is 2–6 inches high.

Record the actual mass on each ankle and the total added load. The original 5–10 lb range does not specify per-ankle versus pair mass. Reduce load when it disrupts the prescribed takeoff, contact position or return sequence.
