Starting Position
Lie prone with the hips and trunk supported by a physio ball, legs extended, and arms folded in front of the chest. A coach holds the lower legs.
How To Perform The Exercise
Raise the upper body to extend the trunk, pause briefly, and lower under control while the coach stabilizes the legs.
Book Setup And Video Note
The coach stabilizes the legs. The arms remain folded while the trunk moves; this is not a same-side arm and leg raise.
Equipment: Physio ball; coach assistance
Book Difficulty Level: 1 of 5

Source Progression Note
Exercise 6.85 has a higher original difficulty rating, but its printed description repeats the coach-stabilizes-the-legs instruction from 6.84. An unassisted setup has not been established from that text. The demonstration above covers 6.84 only; do not remove assistance solely because the next title omits the word assisted.
Use a controlled lift and a one-second pause, then lower under control. Do not seek additional height by forcing the head backward or extending beyond the selected trunk position.
